Ingredients of Success
Traditional pot still distillation methods combined with smaller barrels and the choice of timbers contribute significantly to Nant’s quality and flavour profile – What makes Nant truly unique is the combination of pristine natural environment and pure natural ingredients.

Tour and Tasting Experience
Immerse yourself into the history and heritage, set against a dramatic backdrop of the Tasmanian Central Highlands. Take a guided distillery tour and discover the history behind Nant’s convict built Estate dating back to c.1821. Get an insight into our Highland Single Malt Whisky distilling process and see how Australia’s oldest water-powered flour mills operates – just like it did more than 160 years ago. Tailor your own experience, with a historical tour and whisky tasting or spend the afternoon in our Atrium Restaurant & Cellar Door taking in the Highland surrounds. The guided tour is just $15 per person and free for any guest who buys a 500ml bottle of Nant from our Cellar Door. The tours run at 11.00am and 1.30pm and bookings can be made upon arrival.
“We chose a sunny, spring day to visit Bothwell in Tasmania’s Central Highlands region; Nant Distillery in particular. The weather was absolutely perfect, but the stunning surrounds would’ve been equally memorable regardless of conditions.”
